Privacy Policy

LaunchKaro ("LaunchKaro", "we", "us") operates launchkaro.com, a discovery platform where Indian agri, food, agritech, handloom, and MSME/SHG-made products are launched and backed with real pre-orders. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and who we share it with.
What we do not do
LaunchKaro never processes, stores, or has access to payment information. We are not a payment processor, escrow service, or marketplace. A "pre-order" on LaunchKaro is a purchase intent signal only - it hands a buyer's contact details to the maker so they can complete the sale directly, through whatever channel they already use (UPI, COD, bank transfer, etc.). No money ever moves through LaunchKaro.
Information we collect
If you sign in with Google (makers and admins do this to launch or manage products): we receive your name and email address from Google, via Supabase Authentication. We don't see or store your Google password.
If you submit a product as a maker: your organization name, type, tagline, logo, WhatsApp number, contact email, city/state, social media links, and everything about the product itself (photos, description, pricing, shipping details). Most of this is displayed publicly on your maker and product pages, since the point of the platform is discovery. Your WhatsApp number is never shown on the page itself - it's only used to build the WhatsApp link buyers use to reach you.
If you place a pre-order as a buyer: your name, phone number, optional email, order quantity, and any note you add. This is not publicly visible anywhere - only the aggregate count of pre-orders is public. Your contact details are shared with the maker of that specific product (see "How we share your information" below) and are otherwise kept private in our database.
If you leave a comment: your name, optional email, and the comment text, which is displayed publicly on the product page.
Automatically, via Google Analytics: standard usage data such as pages visited, device/browser type, and approximate location, used to understand how the site is used. We also keep a best-effort, approximate count of views per product page.
How we share your information
When you place a pre-order, we share your name, phone number, email (if given), quantity, and note directly with the maker of that product, so they can confirm and complete the sale with you. This is the core mechanism of the platform and the reason we ask for this information.
We also use a small number of service providers to run LaunchKaro:
- Supabase - our database, file storage, and authentication provider.
- Resend - sends transactional emails (e.g. telling a maker their product was approved or needs changes).
- Google Analytics - usage analytics, as described above.
- Netlify - hosts the website.
We do not sell your personal data to anyone, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
Cookies
We use a cookie to keep you signed in (via Supabase Authentication) and cookies set by Google Analytics for usage tracking. We don't use cookies for third-party advertising.
Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account or listings are active, plus a reasonable period afterward for legitimate business and legal purposes. You can ask us to delete your data at any time (see below).
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you by emailing parthajy@gmail.com. If you're a maker, you can also edit most of your own information directly by resubmitting through the launch form.
Children's privacy
LaunchKaro is not directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the platform evolves. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
